Pasadena's center-platform Lake station appears
in this view from the namesake street above. No trains are in
sight, and there are but a few people visible on the platform.
Perhaps trains had just recently departed.
The mountains beyond the San Gabriel Valley are not always this
clear on a hot July afternoon, but the overall air-quality situation
in the Los Angeles Basin is considerably better than it once was.
