DENVER LIGHT RAIL
Transportation Corridor

The area at and near I-25 & Broadway is a major transportation corridor.  In addition to the very heavily traveled freeway, a busy north-south freight rail route is in the immediate vicinity.

This is the last of three stations at which five different routes call.  Only San Francisco can claim that number of light rail lines running together.

The Southeast Corridor routes now branch off just ahead to the left.  That project, at substantial cost -- a major freeway reconstruction project was intertwined -- added thirteen route miles and nine new stations to the system.

All the photos in the section date to 1995.  Obviously Denver is high on my list for near-future rail visits.
