NEW YORK CITY HEAVY RAIL
Closely Spaced Signals

J trains are just about to pass each other atop the Williamsburg Bridge.  Trains are kept free of graffiti now, but the same cannot be said of the bridge's cross-supports.

Our train has a caution signal just ahead, and then beyond that there are two  speed-controlling stop signals.  It is always slow going for safety's sake descending from either of the two East River bridges.
