This mid-1980s view at Stillwell Ave. shows a sign holder
in need of a paint job and still-handsome Budd Co. cars then about two
decades old. The city system has used multiple manufacturers as long
as my memory goes, but the two names I most associate with my childhood
fascination are St. Louis Car Co. and American Car & Foundry. Both
companies are long gone from the equipment business. |
