NEW YORK CITY HEAVY RAIL
The Culver Line

Track connections curve away from the vicinity of the Ditmas Ave. station on the Culver Line (today's F train) and then are sheared off abruptly.  This represents the original BMT route, which connected near 9th Ave. with the West End Line.  After the IND took over the route in mid 1950s, a lightly used shuttle service remained for a couple of decades.  Its short trains plied four stations on the truncated line.
