STATEN ISLAND HEAVY RAIL
Tottenville, Pedestrian Overpass

This view is at Tottenville, looking inbound in 2002 from a vantage point very similar to that of the previous image in this series.  The track plan and overpasses have changed from two decades before.

It was mid-morning on Memorial Day, and Tottenville was an extremely quiet place, both on the platform and on nearby streets.  And this station remains today as unlikely a terminal point for a big city heavy rail line as probably any place on the continent.
