STATEN ISLAND HEAVY RAIL
Pedestrian Overpass, Atlantic

This old, massive and ugly overpass is the only way to cross the tracks or reach property on the far side of the line at Atlantic, first stop in from Tottenville.

There has been great change and massive urbanization to Staten Island since the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge connected it with the rest of the city in the mid-1960s.  But there still remains something distinctly different, more like a collection of small towns, to the borough.
