MONTREAL HEAVY RAIL
Art and the Métro

The underground stations have a variety of artistic touches, such as this striking, if somewhat troubling, work over the eastern end of the Berri-UQAM station, Green Line.

There are few locations in North America where a subway system has been engineered to include a three-level transfer point.  The Yellow, Orange and Green routes each utilize their own platforms at Berri-UQAM, and the walk can be a fairly lengthy one, including multiple escalator rides, to get from one train to another.
