An outbound Blue Line train for 54th/Cermak -- when
there was such a thing --crosses
the inbound Eisenhower track and the eastbound expressway lanes in this
view. The Paulina Connector passes over the road at right angles.
In an earlier era, before the subways, there was a major above-ground transfer
point nearby. At the Marshfield stop of the old Garfield Park "L," Douglas Park trains joined
from the southwest, and Logan Park Branch trains came in on their route
from the northwest.
