Western Ave. in this area is a broad dual thoroughfare,
with two-way traffic working on either side of a wide strip of grass and
trees. It was part of the visionary "The Boulevards" project
developed in a much earlier phase in the city's history.
This view looks south, with relatively little auto traffic on a summer
Saturday morning. Much graffiti, often brightly colored, is
affixed to the CN freight overpass. |
