This image is again from the observatory at what was
then the Sears
Tower, and provides an aerial perspective of the area where the Orange
Line crosses over the Red Line. There are two trains in view, one
on each line.
The Orange goes left-right toward the bottom of
the photo, and the rear car of one of its runs is directly above the Red
Line tracks in this view. A southbound train on the Red is at the
Cermak-Chinatown station, and will soon pass beneath the Orange, and
then into the subway. The
tracks that run generally parallel to the Red Line see Metra commuter rail activity. |
