A large and rather strange piece of art was in
place on the east exterior of the Randolph/Wabash station at the time of
this 2005 view.
The Wabash portion of the Loop is the downtown segment closest to
Lake Michigan. The city's wonderful park system along and near the
water is just a block or two away, behind the camera.
The parallel north-south "L" structure over Wells is barely visible
below the station, five blocks away. Both the elevated trackage
and downtown itself are called "the Loop." |
