Over Wells, Train Ahead |

This view looks again toward the crossing over Lake and Wells,
but this time it is from inside a train heading north on Wells. The
pedestrian crossover in the distance is at the Merchandise Mart station
beyond the Loop.
More immediately a Green Line passes over both tracks.
In an earlier
time there was a third station over the Wells portion of the Loop, at
Randolph, near or at where our train presently is.
Scenes such as this are wonderfully antiquated and immensely distinct,
and are the stuff of some people's dreams.
