VANCOUVER LIGHT RAIL
YVR Airport

This view is of a train at YVR Airport, doors open for arriving rail customers.  The vehicles used on the Canada Line are wider and longer than on the other lines.  They run in two-car pairs, with open access between the two units.  The vehicles were manufactured in Korea by Hyundai Rotem.  The trains are third-rail powered; the system utilizes conventional electric motors, not the linear induction technology used on the older routes.

Early in 2010 a fare surcharge of $2.50 is expected to go into effect for air passengers and airport visitors.
