TORONTO LIGHT RAIL
Spadina Portal

The reappearance of rainy weather in this view hints that it was taken earlier in the day than the last group of scenes in this section.  Notwithstanding what the destination sign on the approaching train may say, the portal ahead is for the 510 Spadina streetcar.  Its underground loop allows for passengers to transfer to and from both the Bloor-Danforth and Yonge-University-Spadina Subways, although the walk can be a long and tedious one.

The 510 is the newest on the TTC system, replacing a bus line in 1997.  Much of the route is along reserved lanes in the center of wide Spadina Ave.  Its inner end is at Union Station, making it the only line to have two underground terminals.
