The very striking cable-stayed bridge
over Thea Foss Waterway is prominent in this view. That body of
water leads into Commencement Bay and Puget Sound.
Not so obvious, but definitely there in the distance,
beyond the right tower of the bridge and the nearby hills,
is the top portion of 14,411 foot Mt. Rainier, an awesome landmark,
a sleeping giant. It requires decent visibility to be seen from
here, but can also be seen from much further away, far to the north of
Seattle, when sky conditions are right.
