The photo highlights the squared-off lines of the
MetroLink trains. The cars were manufactured by Siemens, were acquired
over time, and are numbered in the 1000, 2000 and 3000 series. There
are currently 87 vehicles serving the system.
This view is at Forest Park, before major
reconstruction greatly altered that station, as well as the whole appearance of
the line in the immediate area. The station name is
now Forest Park-DeBaliviere. Trains no longer terminate at 5th &
Missouri in East St. Louis. |
