Outbound streetcars cross Valley St. one block to the
east of inbound runs. The purple unit is turning into the short stretch
of private right of way that carries the line parallel to Valley. Road
traffic is often very congested here; the drivers in these waiting vehicles are
likely anxious for the slow-moving rail car to complete its passage and for
the light to change.
