SEATTLE STREETCAR
Space Needle

Both streetcar directions utilize Westlake Ave. N near  downtown.  Midway along the route the northbound cars turn onto Thomas St. to travel one block before another turn, onto Terry Ave. N.  The photographer is on Thomas, and is looking west.  The inbound track travels straight across ahead.

This view is from several months before the line opened.  Tracks are in place, but wires had not yet been strung.

The city's famous Space Needle is not too far away, and is prominent in this scene.  One can barely make out the monorail structure in the distance, where Thomas ends.  The two routes have become progressively further apart as they have traveled from their downtown terminals.
