to commercial growth, there has been much
residential development -- high-rise condos and apartments -- nearby. A
large Whole Foods supermarket serves the surrounding neighborhood and
beyond. It is just out of view to the left.
There are standees in the purple streetcar on this initial day of service.
Ridership on the line is said to be where the authorities
expect it to be at the current stage of the area's redevelopment.
