CENTRAL LINK LIGHT RAIL
At SODO Station

Central Link (much of the time Sound Transit refers to it simply as "Link Light Rail") utilizes a fleet of 35 vehicles manufactured by Kinkisharyo of Japan, a company that has provided vehicles to several other American cities.

This inbound train is at the SODO station.  The line's right of way in this area is adjacent to a much older dedicated busway, which has more frequent stops along its lanes.

Ahead to the north there are various murals and wall art along the joint route, in a zone known as the SODO Urban Art Corridor.  SODO (or SoDo) is a name that came into being in the 1980s to refer to the area south of the since-demolished Kingdome sports arena.  This broadened zone is now taken to mean "South of Downtown."
