This research campus of sprawling UCSF dates to 2003, and
it continues to grow
and to foster other development in this area. This part of the
city was once occupied by railroad yards and warehouses. The
transformation is immense, and will continue for years to come. A lot of
nearby land was vacant at the time of this 2007 photo, but seemed destined
for redevelopment in the not-too-distant future. |
