For the first several months of its existence T-Third
operated weekends only. Initially large numbers of Muni personnel were
on board passing out informational leaflets, answering questions, talking
with passengers about their experience, and evaluating technical things.
Stops were being made at each station, regardless of passenger signal or
people waiting on the platform. It was fairly slow going, but on the
positive side the ride was free.
This view is from the second Saturday of service, January, 2007. The
platform at 4th & King displays futuristic art of a kind present at all
eighteen new stops out to Sunnydale Ave. |
