SAN FRANCISCO LIGHT RAIL
Locations

This screen above a Muni Metro subway platform gives a person real-time graphic information about the location of trains under the downtown area.  Activity is  identified by the letter of the line, and whether the run consists of one or two LRVs.  About a dozen trains were showing at the time of this photo, hinting that it was during a peak transit time.

From the comfort of a person's home, or from wherever, the computer user can watch the the Internet version of this display.  In its own way it is quite fascinating -- at least for those inclined toward having an interest in things to do with urban electric rail transit.
