This screen above a Muni Metro subway platform gives a person
real-time graphic information about the location of trains under the downtown area.
Activity is identified by the letter of the line, and whether the run consists
of one or two LRVs. About a dozen trains were showing at the time
of this photo, hinting that it was during a peak transit time.
From the comfort of a person's home, or from wherever, the computer user can
watch the the Internet version of this display. In its own way it is
quite fascinating -- at least for those inclined toward having an interest
in things to do with urban electric rail transit. |
