SAN FRANCISCO LIGHT RAIL
Heading South

As at many places elsewhere on the system, the L-Taraval encounters its share of four-way stop signs along its route.   The train in this scene is heading down 46th Ave, and the turn from and to Taraval St. in this view is where the businesses poke up in the background.

San Francisco's light rail scene includes a mixture of street running, median and reserved roadway running, private right of way, the subway and two long, old tunnels.  Muni light rail never leaves the compact city limits, but it features an infrastructure without good American comparison.
