SAN FRANCISCO LIGHT RAIL
Ferry Building

The F-line has been tremendously popular -- sometimes too successful in attracting passengers for its handling capacity.  There are often long lines by the Ferry Building to take the trolley out to Fisherman's Wharf.

The large backward-appearing San Francisco sign on top of the terminal greets passengers arriving by boat.  The building has been painstakingly restored, and is a popular destination, with numerous restaurants and specialty shops.  A pleasant park just behind the camera's location is a good place to watch the passing scene.
