UTA LIGHT RAIL
Gateway District

New trackage was being constructed at the time of this 2007 photo taken along 400 West, south of the Arena station.  To the left restaurants and other businesses line the street, with much more Gateway District development just further west.  Two intermediate stations serve the new extension.

Commuter rail came to the Salt Lake Valley in 2008.  FrontRunner service to and from Ogden is the first route to begin operation, with later service to be provided to and from Provo.  This new light rail extension ends at the joint commuter rail, Amtrak and Greyhound bus station.
