PORTLAND STREETCAR
In the Rain

A streetcar dwells at the very end of operating rail in this 2006 scene.  A light late-spring rain is falling.  High ramps lead to and from Marquam Bridge, which carries freeway traffic across the Willamette River.

If future planning comes to pass both the Streetcar and MAX  will continue to the left, across the Willamette on a new Caruthers Bridge.  That structure would be constructed as part of the project to extend the MAX Yellow Line to Milwaukie.  The Streetcar would loop north on the other side of the river to connect with the planned line running across Broadway Bridge into the Lloyd District.
