In this mid-2005 view work was well underway on the southern extension to
SW Gibbs St.
Old rails still remained, but not for too much longer. A Southern Pacific freight branch long gone
passed through here, and that right of way was
later used by the Willamette Shore tourist trolley before it truncated
its route a bit. Streetcar expansion beyond Gibbs would erase this bit
of history. |
