The streetcar in this photo has left RiverPlace during
the brief era when that stop was the line's southern terminal. It will
travel the short stretch necessary to reach a switch to reverse directions
onto the other track. The line now continues on to a terminal along SW
Lowell St. in the South Waterfront district.
A large hotel is in the background, part of the great transformation taking
place in this
area. There continues to be intense building activity in this
