In a city rich with more than two decades of rail transit expansion, more
change is in progress in this area. New MAX service, parallel and
about five blocks to the east of the
Streetcar through downtown, will head along SW 5th Ave. here, ending southbound
at its own
PSU terminal. The two systems will run on tracks side by side on the
one-way street for about
two blocks before the Streetcar rails turn left. Inbound MAX trains will use SW 6th Ave., crossing the Streetcar at
two locations: SW Mill St., inbound; and SW Market St., outbound. |
