Speckled by Rain

This observer has been around Steel Bridge dozens of times over the years.  Without utilizing an Amtrak schedule (which may not be of much use for the northbound Coast Starlight), and with somewhat limited freight traffic, there have been few opportunities to see rail traffic below.

But on this August day a long and slow freight was heading toward the west side of the river, and a single-car Red Line train was above.  Raindrops speckle the image.  But it was a fine moment.
