An Old Emblem

It fades more and more with passing time, but when the lighting is right one can still see vestiges of an old emblem high up on Steel Bridge.  It is probably that of the Oregon Railway and Navigation Co., a subsidiary of the Union Pacific.  That line was absorbed by its parent company in the 1930s.

Union Pacific owns the bridge even now, and has arrangements with TriMet and the City of Portland for its public use and maintenance.
