PORTLAND MAX LIGHT RAIL
Toward Union Station

The rear of a Yellow Line train shows in this image of low-slung buildings along NW 6th Ave., north of W Burnside St.  The train has one further stop ahead on its Portland Mall run.

The original Portland Transit Mall started south of Burnside in the later 1970s, and then was expanded north.  Through general vehicular traffic was not allowed until the changes for light rail were brought to fruition.
