This image is from just a bit further south along SW 5th
Ave by SW Montgomery St. than that shown on the previous page in this
sequence. The weather is wet and very autumnal; and the
photo composition is
likely one that is infrequently possible to achieve. Three different
urban electric rail runs are visible. MAX, the center train, is soon ready to leave,
without passengers, for
its change-of-direction loop. A northbound Portland Streetcar has
crossed the avenue in the foreground, and is continuing toward the Portland State campus, then
to downtown and beyond. And a southbound Streetcar is at its own
mid-route station, to the camera's right, on the far side of SW 5th.
