After inbound trains leave the right of way paralleling the Banfield
Freeway there is an overpass across the Union Pacific, and then, as pictured
here, comes a short
transitional stretch to reach running along
NE Holladay St. at the eastward beginning of the Free Rail Zone. Train speeds slow down considerably
at this point, and
will stay slow through the Lloyd District, over Steel Bridge, and all through downtown.
