All was ready for the beginning of Green Line service,
about a month away at the time of this photo in 2009. The
Green Line goes to the right, paralleling Interstate 205. The Blue
Line continues toward the left, rising to turn onto E Burnside St.
The image was taken from an overpass on NE Glisan St. The Gateway/NE 99th Ave.
Transit Center is several blocks behind the camera. The Northwest
typically gets very dry as summer progresses, and roadside slopes in this view
certainly hint at the lack of recent rainfall.
Green Line coverage from this point on is handled in the last section in
