PORTLAND MAX LIGHT RAIL
Corridor Color

The photo is from inside an eastbound Green Line train in the Banfield Corridor.  The single-track of the Union Pacific is at a lower level here, but moments ahead it will be abreast of MAX.  For a bit over the first decade of light rail, the light rail passenger could see the Amtrak's "Pioneer" in these parts on its run between Seattle and Salt Lake City.  That train was discontinued in 1997.

There is much color in the nearby trees.  It is Halloween Day, 2009.
