The bridge over Tempe Town Lake is just ahead in
this view. Once across the water, the route turns generally
west for the many miles into downtown Phoenix.
The line runs close to north of Sky Harbor International Airport,
beyond its northern edge. There is a
dedicated bus shuttle between the servicing light rail station and the passenger
terminals. Some day a people mover may make for more elegant
access to the airport. Light rail was constructed with this in
mind, and the short bit of the future proposed structure was built
at that station. |
