PHILADELPHIA LIGHT RAIL
Above Commuter Rail

A car waits at its elevated Norristown terminal in this photo.  Soon enough it will be heading to the left, over the Schuylkill River trestle, and then continuing along its crossing-free private right of way back to 69th Street Terminal.  There one can transfer to the Market-Frankford Subway-El to get to the heart of Philadelphia.

The tracks and station at ground level belong to the SEPTA R6 suburban rail service, which can take one on a much speedier route to center city.
