Route 100 approaches its last stop at Norristown
Transportation Center in this photo. The line used to continue
above-ground a bit further into that city,
as I remember from my first ride on the route
in the early 1960s.
Indeed at one time through service on Lehigh Valley Transit
continued all the way to Allentown, about fifty miles to the north.
Operation beyond Norristown ceased in the middle of last century. |
