Stations come frequently along the
entire length of the City Subway. Several are located below
street-level, with overpasses nearby. An inbound train prepares to board

Like many of the continent's newer light rail systems, the Newark
City Subway requires the casual user to buy a
machine-dispensed, time-validated ticket before boarding. All passengers are
subject to spot-checking. The regular fare is a modest $1.35. The old manned
collection area up the stairs at Penn Station has been turned into an
interesting art project. |
