LOS ANGELES METRO LIGHT RAIL
New Rail Cars from AnsaldoBreda

This section continues with scenes that skip around and about the entire length of the Gold Line route, both the original line and the Eastside Extension.  This view is at Union Station, and a portion of a Metrolink commuter rail engine is visible to the right.

New vehicles from AnsaldoBreda were in their first week of revenue service at the time of this photo from March, 2008.  Numerous MTA personnel were present.  The generally gray paint scheme presented a marked departure from the mostly white and gold of the older light rail units.  No car numbers were visible.
