LOS ANGELES METRO LIGHT RAIL
Old Viaduct

The Pasadena Freeway, one of the country's earliest limited-access highways, twists along the Arroyo Seco.  In this Sunday morning January view of palm trees and what passes for winter in the Southland, traffic on the roadway was extremely light.

The bridge is from the Santa Fe era.  Now it is strung with overhead wires, and Gold Line trains rumble across at frequent intervals.
