LOS ANGELES METRO LIGHT RAIL
Hillsides

It was fairly early on a Sunday morning in January at the time of this photo, and few passengers were on board this Union Station-bound train as it headed along the median of Marmion Way.

When construction originally began on the route, the Gold Line was identified as a disconnected part of the Blue Line from L.A. to Long Beach.  Soon after, it gained its own color identification.  Planners are exploring funding opportunities to connect the two lines, utilizing running along surface streets in downtown Los Angeles.
