LOS ANGELES METRO LIGHT RAIL
At Willow

During the morning and evening rush hours alternate Blue Line trains terminate at Willow.  These trains shift over using the center track hinted at by the power wires in this photo, and come to their end on the northbound track, ready for the return trip to L.A.

Judging from observations at the time of this 2001 photo, the truncated running took some patrons by surprise, and left them perplexed about how to continue further on to Long Beach, despite on-board announcements.  Some of the waiting northbound riders seemed equally uncertain about whether to board the new arrival or not.

Willow is the last station along the former Pacific Electric private right of way coming from Los Angeles.
