The rails were rusty just beyond the platform at
E. 34th St. in Bayonne at the time of this 2002 photo. Work
was well under way to continue the line to its present terminal at E.
22nd St. The route will reach one further station, E. 8th St.,
when the newest construction project is completed.
The old overpasses reflect the long-time rail heritage of this right of
way.
