HUDSON-BERGEN LIGHT RAIL
Curve and Manhattan Skyline

Part of the Lower Manhattan skyline lies in the distant haze across the Hudson in this view taken from the front of a Bayonne-bound train.  This portion of the line, which travels through a rapidly redeveloping part of Jersey City, was opened in 2002.

A couple of decades ago It would have been very difficult to predict either that viewing any vista of Manhattan would ever be possible from modern-day light rail, or that Jersey City would become a "destination" and would have its own skyline.
