The light rail train is
not particularly prominent in this photo, but how often does one have
the opportunity to photograph transit from a ferry? The
passenger-only boat that carried the photographer away is bound for the Battery, at the tip of Manhattan.
This image is evidence of the
industry and commerce that once complemented the massive rail yards in the cities
across from Lower Manhattan. Construction trailers are
commonly about in this
part of Jersey City.
