The portion of the line just north of Exchange Pl.
is a fairly slow ride, with closely spaced stations, street crossings, and some
very sharp curves. This photo shows a highly restricted speed limit
for the bend ahead: 10 miles per hour. Massive redevelopment
has taken place in this area, but a few buildings from old Jersey
City still were standing at the time of this photo in 2002. One could almost
sense that the wrecking
crews were just out of sight, getting their equipment ready. |
